Ryan Ray

Ryan Ray has served as Leon County’s Democratic Party Chair since 2022. In 2024, he led a Chair's Slate which was (re-)elected unanimously.

Across three decades, Ryan has advanced Democratic values as communications director at Florida House Victory, managed numerous winning local campaigns, co-led field efforts for Gwen Graham for Congress, and mastered media relations as a 2015-17 member of the Capitol Press Corps.

Under Ryan’s four-year tenure, Leon Democrats:

• Defeated the Republican plan to divide our city

• Dramatically increased social media visibility

• Raised over $68,000 — including $33,000 on hand and counting from sustainable small-dollars donations

• Brought accountability to right-wing developers influencing Tallahassee local elections

Together we've forged Democratic unity among elected officials and stakeholder groups, ensuring GOP incursions into deep blue Tallahassee are always met with resistance.
